Co. K (Fredericksburg) had 1 officer and 50 men

Co. L had 2 officers and 85 men

Co. M had 2 officers and 54 men

3rd Battalion HQ Company had only 3 officers

This left the 3rd Battalion with a total of 9 officers and 275 men remaining of the original
complement of 24 officers and 790 men. They had been reduced to nearly 30% of their original strength.
Pvt. Ollie Olive and Pvt. Jesse J. Jett of Co. K both from Fredericksburg fell while fighting with
Stone on the RR cut, protecting the flank.
