World War I Reenactment
Endview Plantation
Newport News Virginia

The Virginia War Museum sponsors a realistic WWI Reenactment in the spring of each year.  This annual event provides the visitor with a view of a full-scale WWI battle complete with artillery, machinegun fire and a variety of special effects. The program begins with a special educational visitation on Friday till 5pm. On Saturday the event was open to the public and included two complete pitched battles held in the morning and afternoon. The trench complex was opened to the public in-between the action.

The nominal admission fee went to benefit the Museum in its ongoing mission of preservation of our rich nation heritage

The 116th Infantry (reenactor regiment) as well as other reenactors represent Allied as well as the Central powers combat units.  All participants donate their time and expertise to this highly successful program.
